Santos Trails

Six of us went to the Santos Trailhead this morning.

We rode 30 miles in hot and humid weather.

As long as you were moving to create a breeze, it was not too bad.

After the ride we went to Cracker Barrell for lunch.

The Durango carried the bike without issues.
Only problem was it would not go into reverse with the bike rack on.

Had to google how to turn off the parking assist in order to back up

Pecan Pie

During the photography class we walked through the Downtown Market.

I spotted a strawberry rhubarb pie that I planned to come back for after the class.

I also found some Tomato and Olive Focaccia bread.

The day of cars

Jeni's 2020 Honda Pilot and  my 2021 Jeep Gladiator.

Was nice having 2 cars, one that was comfortable to drive, and one that was fun to drive offroad and run around town with the tops off. I could only keep one. It did not make sense to keep the Jeep with the traveling I will be doing. At the end of the day I decided I could not keep the Honda as I would always be referring to it as Jeni's car.

I cried when the took you car away.
Understand that it did not make sense to have two cars.
Will save me $1,600 this year in insurance.

still, a very sad time.

I loved the Jeep Gladiator.

I cried less when they took it away.

2026 Dodge Durango GT Blacktop AWD.

Seats 6 like the Honda but is a little more sporty looking.

Without that date it would not have been possible to share 32 wonderful years
